tuesday tattle-tale

July 21, 2009

Another boring and quiet Tuesday at work today!! I had to wake up quite early today because I had to see the doctor about my non-stop coughing since Thursday last week. I was really lazy but in the end, it was worth it since I am no longer coughing so much rite now, YAY!!! After that, my sister and I went crazy with shopping coz everything was on sale, buying the cool cheap T-Shirts and the Twilight novel series (3 novels altogether). The reasons: a girl can’t have too many T-Shirts, rite??? and I was really curious why everyone is reading the Twilight series. The real downside of shopping is you lose your money but I only bought what I really wanted to buy and if I really liked the thing. I don’t ever want to waste my money on something un-meaningful and tasteless. Now, the lists of books I’ve wanted to read have increased again, so I guess I better go back to reading “Brisingr” now…

Jada – American Cowboy

July 18, 2009

Today there has been one song which plays non-stop on my head: ‘American Cowboy’ by Jada. Once you listen to the song, you can’t help yourself by singing along to the song. The song is really catchy and has a nice pop R&B groove, kinda make your body wanna dance to the song.

Jada - American Cowboy

Jada is not relatively new American pop R&B girl group from Boston, Massachusets. The band consist of  four girls: Elle Wine, April Forrest, Lauren O’Keefe and Jacyn Tremblay. “American Cowboy” is their debut single and was released on iTunes on 31 March (From Wikipedia).

I thought I heard this song somewhere before but could not remember when and where. Luckily, my sister read on Wiki that this song was played on House during Chase’s bachelor party and suddenly my mind struck me, “That’s where I heard it before!!!!” Ha3

“I know you know I’m sexy…” and keep on singing non-stop lalala

Perfume – ⊿ (Triangle)

July 14, 2009

One of the new released JPop album I am currently addicted to is the third album by Perfume, titled Triangle. As usual, the album is chock-full with techno-pop songs, kinda like the Nintendo old game songs. I thought it was gonna be like the two predecessor albums, it did though but after listening to Triangle many times, I became to like almost all the tracks, the songs grew catchier the more you listen to them.

perfume,triangle,jpop

Tracklist:

  1. Take Off
  2. love the world
  3. Dream Fighter
  4. edge
  5. NIGHT FLIGHT
  6. Kiss and Music
  7. Zero Gravity
  8. I still love u
  9. The best thing
  10. Speed of Sound
  11. One Room Disco
  12. Negai (Album Mix)

Some of my favourite songs are ‘love the world’, ‘I still love u’,  ‘Negai’ and  ‘One Room Disco’. I chose ‘One Room Disco’ as my ringtone specifically for my brother, since it is one of the loudest tracks on my phone (I am kinda deaf when someone rings me and always takes ages for me to answer my phone, hence the ringtone for my brother since he always complains especially). I really did not like Track 4, edge coz of the repeated words and also the melody is like repeated all over too, can get really annoying to me. Any Perfume fans or anyone else who likes techno-pop songs should not miss listening to Triangle, the album won’t disappoint you.

Rating: 8.5/10

‘I still love u’ PV is kinda disappointing compared with the song, only white background and close-up shots of Perfume singing.

Minami-ke Craziness!!!

July 10, 2009

Crazy girl is on holiday and all she does is watching anime and DVDs until she goes crazy. Her number one most favourite anime at the moment is Minami-ke and she is currently watching the newest season and also 3rd season already, aka Minami-ke Okaeri. She is completely addicted to this crazy series which is the story concerning the lives of three Minami sisters: the eldest one, gentle and mature Haruka; the middle sister, childish and troublemaker Kana; and the youngest sister, sarcastic Chiaki. The story ranges from love, comedy to even the unusual things. Many funny and idiotic characters, like Chiaki’s friends, Uchida and Makoto who cross-dressed as Mako-chan or the ever-so-crazy Hosaka-senpai whose imagination about Haruka is always hilarious.

From L-R: Minami Chiaki, Kana and Haruka

Of course that crazy girl is me!!! My favourite character would be Chiaki with her sarcastic attitude especially towards Kana and the small leafy-like thing on top of her hair, plus Chiaki kinda reminds me of my youngest sister. She’d be denying like crazy right now ha3. Look at how cute she is!!!! I am always laughing whenever I’m watching Minami-ke, always very funny. Like Chiaki always said, “Konna, Bakayarou!”

stupid egoistic proud people, GONE!

April 14, 2009

WHOAA!!! At last it is not long easter holiday anymore since everything was like going very wrong during those four days. Most of the people were not working, so they went out and had some fun. Some chose to take a holiday trip out of town, some chose to spend time leisurely at home, and others chose to go out, partying, had some fun and getting drunk. Well, these people (the latter ones) who were the ones that make all the trouble for the others.

I understand if they want to party till the dawn, dancing, enjoying the company of friends and drinking. But, at least don’t drink till you’re drunk and doing stupid things you will regret. The worst part is that some people don’t really regret or have any guilts over doing those stupid things. They feel powerful and liberated after doing those stupid things, like they feel like they are the best, the number one, the coolest one amongst their friends. While in reality, they are the stupidiest person ever lived to grace upon the surface of this earth.

Some rich people also use their powers of money and feel like they deserve everything including the best service that their money can buy. They probably feel powerful trampling all over the pride and dignity of others who  they feel are lower than them. Did they have nothing to do anymore besides doing this? Why not use your times to help someone who is less unfortunate than you rather than making them even feel worser?

I don’t understand these people and nor will I try to understand them. I don’t care about them either, they just get on my nerves sometimes but I always shrug them off quickly. Someone asks me a very stupid question which does not have any apparent answer and he told me to go back to school to learn English. I should’ve said, “This question coming from someone who speaks English daily. Very funny!” but anyway, I don’t wanna drag myself down to his level. Why would I interact with someone who clearly only will make you feel stupidier by arguing with him? I am so much better than that.

Gone Crazy!!!!!

March 17, 2009

I have gone totally crazy, surpassing crazy. I am so stressed, don’t wanna sleep, wanna stay up but my shoulder is slumped already. My eyes start watering as I am feeling sleepy, listening to the same song over and over again. I feel like I wanna puke my hearts out and scream till all the buildings collapsed. Just finish ripping all the past bills, from the electricity, water, waste management, strata bills etc. you-name-it! I ripped them all off. So tired of keeping stupid f**kin bills piled up there in the hole of my closet. Buh-bye! So long! Don’t wanna see them anymore!!!

Angry Icon

Freakin stupid!!! I am really tired of this responsibility of paying bills, and doing the account fo family and my own spending. S**t!! S**t!! I hate ‘em all! Throw away those trash already!!! I don’t know what is supposed to happen to the bills which you already have paid, whether we should keep them or throw them away??? I chose the latter of course coz I am just sick and tired of the bills and junk letters. So, rip!!! rip!!! rip!!!

I bet my hands will be sore tomorrow but I don’t really care. I still have to do my spending account tomorrow. I have been freaking out over searching the single freakin punch-hole before. What about tomorrow?? Gonna have a heart attack maybe. Once I start something, if I don’t finish it throughly, I cannot rest and go crazy thinking about it all the time. The solution is simply to finish all the things till they can go no further. I guess I am a bit OCD over this thing.

Day and day recently, I have been growing tired easily and just feeling lazier to go to work. Wanna bleed my heart out, wanna puke my insides out, wanna clench my fists, wanna pull my hair till I can do nothing anymore. I have indeed very out-of-my-mind right now, I can’t even describe what I am really really feeling rite now. I am not sick and not tired, just feeling off. I really really need a holiday, just one day is enough coz my feeling is not rite.

I have been putting a fake smile, fake expression and forcing myself to do everything. Now it has taken a toll on me, after so much exertions on my side. Silly girl, lonely girl, poor girl, crazy girl, emotional girl, impatient girl, sad girl, crazy girl, stupid girl, emotional girl, I can’t even feel anything anymore. What do I want? What do I need?  I don’t know anymore.

Maybe it is emotional breakdown I am feeling. I have experienced it before, but I recovered from that before. I just want one-day full rest and after that I think I will be fine. I don’t know how I can rest for one day since I have so many things to do… Somehow I will find a way…

Mai Fukui – MY SONG FOR YOU

March 7, 2009

I just discover a new addiction to a new JPop artist, Mai Fukui after listening to her debut album [MY SONG FOR YOU]. She is like a crossover between ayaka and Miho Fukuhara, in her style of music is like that towards ayaka but her voice is more like a cross between ayaka and Miho Fukuhara. Her voice is a bit deep, coarse but soothing and soft at times especially when she sings ballad songs.

Mai Fukui

Mai Fukui first released “Ai no Uta” as a theme song for Koizora TV series on 20 August 2008. This is the strongest song on her debut album and also strongest single as it reached the top 20 on Oricon chart. The PV is very simple and much better than “Can Can” clip, showing her singing on the fields of green, singing and blown by the wind. I like her dress on the music clip, a white flowy dress like shown on this pic below.

Mai Fukui - Ai no Uta

Her other two singles next released didn’t fare so well like its predecessor single, both “Lucky” released on 19 November 2008 and “Can Can” released on 4 February 2009. PV for “Can Can” was a bit boring, just showing her hitting drums and singing on a kinda black and white background. I just looked at the screencaps and don’t even bother looking at the whole PV, but the song is a cheerful-guitar-pop-rock-fun song, it is building to get better at the chorus. I like the part where the guitar remains strumming throughout the song.

Mai Fukui - My Song for You

I must say I almost like the whole tracks on the album, with my favourites including the ballads “Ai no Uta”, “Aoi E”, “Promise You”, and “My Song for You” and more uptempo “I wanna be a rock roll star” and “Hate Myself”. Overall the whole album has the whole balance of pop and rock vibes within. The whole tracks in the album is totally worth listening. I really recommend this to anyone wanting to try listening to new JPop artists and any fans of ayaka or Miho Fukuhara.

Yuna Ito – Trust You

March 3, 2009

Yuna Ito - Trust You

I am hooked on to the newest single of Yuna Ito, titled “Trust You”. It is really a good ballad song, better than “Miss You”. How come all the titles of the songs are almost the same… Hmmm… But I like mostly when Yuna Ito sings ballad songs, sounds much better than the uptempo cheerful songs which she has sung before, like “Urban Mermaid”, with the exception of “Koi wa Groovyx2″. I am such a sucker for ballad songs, ha3! I have never watched the music clip of “Trust You” before till today. Once I saw the music clip, I quickly listened to the song over and over again. I even updated my music playlist on my mobile phone. I really recommend this song for any Yuna Ito fans and even anyone else who really likes listening to ballad JPop songs (it’s not too ballad-y song) or anyone who likes listening to really nice melodic songs. This song is also used as the second ending song of Gundam OO. Here is the music clip of “Trust You” from youtube:

‘Emma’ Finished!!!

February 24, 2009

Another tuesday with nothing else to do… But today I am feeling much better than last week, plus I don’t do much mistakes like last week. I have quite nothing to do even though I could read the novel “Northanger Abbey” (coz I got it in my bag), so I decided to post something in my blog.

Recently I bought another classic novel, ‘Little Dorrit’ by Charles Dickens  coz it was on sale at Kinokuniya bookshop. This is the novel which I have been waiting some times to buy, therefore when it was on 20% discount, I quickly bought it. I already read the plot summary on Wikipedia and I think the novel is worth reading, such as the work of Charles Dickens is always worth reading. The novel was put with the pile of other classic novels which I haven’t yet read he3.

I just finished reading ‘Emma’ and it is in my top 2 favourite books by Jane Austen with the first being  ‘Pride and Prejudice’ of course. The heroine of the book, Emma Woodhouse, is quite witty, independent, busybody, charming and likes matchmaking but always bad at it. This faults of hers which make the story interesting and lively. Emma’s faults were often noticed by Mr. Knightley and he always told Emma what mistakes she has done. In the end, Emma grows more mature, more sensible, and her faults are decreasing. Of course she finds her ‘true love’ with someone she has always fancies but she never realizes till late.

There is one character which I don’t really like, Frank Churchill. He is always lively, charming, and often very funny and entertaining but he strikes me as selfish and annoying. He is always lucky, when he makes severe mistakes and his friends and families were offended by him, he apologizes quite sincerely to them and quite easily forgiven. He is indeed lucky and maybe I am kind of jealous of his good fortunes but I still don’t like his character.

There is many movies and TV adaptations of ‘Emma’ but I haven’t found them out till after I have read the novel. There is one movie adaptation of ‘Emma’ played by Gwyneth Paltrow on 1996 and I’ve been searching for the DVD recently. I think I should try the DVD rental shop near where I live. Have to borrow my bro’s DVD rental card first. I wanna look for ‘Sense and Sensibility’ too but I don’t really like that crybaby Marianne Dashwood but she will be played by Kate Winslet and I guess it’s gonna be a good movie if Kate Winslet starred in the movie.

Well… I will try my luck in finding the movie in the DVD rental shop. Fingers crossed!!! Although I doubt that they have them. Otherwise I have to buy the DVDs plus “Becoming Jane”.

Classic Novels

February 17, 2009

I am kinda addicted to reading classic novels lately. Almost every week, this crazy girl buys one or two classic novels and finding another new classic novel that must be bought after reading the story of the novel online on Wikipedia (love this site! Really great in summarizing the whole story of a particular book. Kinda like cheating on peeking the end of the book huehe3). It seems like everyone into reading classic novels lately with all much discounted classic books going on around.

I’ve still got tons of classic books which I haven’t read yet. Now I am like rushing into reading them but still at you-know-slow-speed, pace by pace reaching the end of the story by enjoying the scenes of the story, laughing along with the funny scenes, getting annoyed with the crybaby heroine, wanna punch the annoying arrogant male character and dreaming along to have the same love story (which of course won’t happen).

Some of the classic books I have read:

  • Pride and Prejudice
  • Sense and Sensibility
  • Mansfield Park

All the novels were by Jane Austen and I am currently reading “Emma”. I know! All are Jane Austen novels. Can’t help it! I am kinda a fan of hers right now.

Other novels which I have yet to read:

  • ‘Northanger Abbey’ and ‘Persuasion’ by Jane Austen
  • ‘Tale of Two Cities’ and ‘The Bleak House’ by Charles Dickens
  • ‘Tenant of Wildfeld Hall’ by Anne Bronte
  • ‘North and South’ by Elizabeth Gaskell
  • ‘Evelina’ by Francess Burney
  • ‘Vanity Fair’ by William Makepiece Thackeray

I cannot wait to read of all them. One of the reason of reading those classic novels because I am kinda fascinated by the Victorian times and the customes and the cultures of people of that time. Theirs were so very very different from us now at modern times but some things still stay the same like “true love” HA3
